The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that is dedicated to a thriving and sustainable future through cost-efficient and energy-saving green buildings. The USGBC created the LEED green building certification program to help achieve its mission of market transformation. The USGBC also has vigorous educational offerings and has created a nationwide network of chapters and affiliates.
