Boston, MA – Control Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is pleased to welcome industry-veteran Ariana Axelrod, PE, CEM in a leadership role for its Boston operations, alongside the HTS New England and DXS New England teams. Ariana is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Energy Manager with an extensive background in HVAC and building automation.

“I have worked closely with the HTS and DXS team on various projects and have always admired their approach to supporting their customers,” said Axelrod. “I was excited to learn that CTI’s philosophy aligns with theirs and mine and am thrilled to have the opportunity to provide a full package solution for controls, smart building infrastructure, and equipment. Having experts in each sector under one roof will allow us to formulate unique solutions and provide an overall better service to our clients.”

Axelrod graduated from SUNY Binghamton University in 2008 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and in 2009 received an MBA in Supply Chain Management. After starting her career in New York City, she relocated to Boston in 2017 to establish and build the local branch of a building automation contractor.

“Ariana’s passion and skill set are a perfect fit for the continued success of the CTI/HTS/DXS partnership,” said Bruce Merges, CEO of CTI. “We immediately felt that Ariana understood and shared our long-term goals and will be a springboard for our Boston operations”.

Ariana’s devotion to smart buildings and to the holistic integration of equipment and automation is a perfect fit for the objectives of the CTI/HTS/DXS family of companies. Her primary function will involve growing the CTI Boston team to deliver fully integrated building solutions by aligning the CTI, HTS, and DXS offerings.

“It’s hard to ignore the impact Ariana has made in our local market. Over the years, we have known and respected her as both a competitor and a local leader in our industry,” said Avish Bhalani, Senior Regional Manager for Distech Controls, CTI’s preferred vendor for building automation solutions. “We are very excited to see Ariana take on a leadership role at CTI. I am looking forward to working with her as an advocate for truly-open and intelligent building systems.”

As the largest HVAC solutions provider in New England, CTI/HTS/DXS continue to improve their complete building offering by combining applied HVAC equipment, VRF/VRV equipment, and controls. The addition of Ariana is a major step toward this goal. Please join us in congratulating Ariana as we welcome her into our family.
