Did You Miss the New York City Local Law 84 Deadline?

“All buildings in New York City over 50,000 square feet are required to submit an annual energy benchmark, starting in 2011. Covered buildings also include two or more buildings that total over 100,000 square feet and are on the same lot or under the same condo board.  The first benchmark report is due to the city on May 1, 2011.”

See a list of buildings  required to comply with Local Law 84 (LL84).

By Defining Building Performance, Control Technologies, Inc. can help you comply with Local Law 84. Buildings that did not submit benchmarks to the NYC Department of Finance by August 1 are subject to fines of $500 per quarter from the NYC Department of Buildings.
“A second round of quarterly fines will be assessed on buildings that do not comply with Local Law 84 by November 1st. You can avoid a second fine by completing your Local Law 84 benchmark before November 1.”
